New Zealand Harvest season.
Following several months of careful crop growing by our farmers the harvest season is arguably the most important season in crop production.
Our growers spend many months attending to all the important issues in crop production for our clients from throughout Asia. These include ground preparation, crop planting, weed, pest, disease control and many more day to day jobs all leading up to the all-important harvest season.
In New Zealand, most crops are harvested in the period from early January until mid-March which is New Zealand’s summer season. During this time our farmers harvest many different crops that include ryegrass, peas, grains and vegetable crops.
During the harvest care is taken by our growers to ensure the crops are harvested at the right moisture and the seed handled with the upmost care and attention, and then dispatched to the many seed processing stores for cleaning, packaging and export back to them.
Most of our crop growers use harvesting machines that are full of the latest technologies ensuring crops are harvested in the most efficient manner.
This year’s harvest has been described as better than average by our growers which is good news for our clients as normally the better the seed yields the better the seed quality is.
We have been enjoying good harvest weather conditions during this period. Early indications are that the seed that has been harvested is of excellent quality. The ability of SPANZ growers to produce seed of a very high quality is a very important as it gives our Asian clients the ability to supply their clients with a high-quality seeds supply.

Seed production opportunities for the 2017 / 2018 season.
Following our recent successful vegetable seed harvest in New Zealand SPANZ is now seeking opportunities for the 2017 / 2018 crop production season.
This season SPANZ growers have successfully produced a wide range of export seeds these include Brassica, Pea, beet, carrot, spinach, ryegrasses and many more types of crops. Most of this crop is in our many world class seed processing companies awaiting cleaning, packaging and export back to our clients throughout Asia.
New Zealand also has very good seed inspection and certification systems in place most of which are accredited to international standards as well as an efficient shipping service as New Zealand is by in large an export driven economy.
We are currently seeking contracts for the coming 2017/2018 season and would welcome any enquiry you may have. We have very experienced growers, superb soil types and an excellent temperate climate that allows us to grow many crops successfully. Should you have any questions of need more information on what SPANZ could do for you please feel free to contact me.
